THE SALIENT POINT: FILM SCREENING
with Bettina Munk / Lines Fiction
Making pixelpoints move has become easy with software. Why then, would artists still opt for the hard road by using analogue materials and frame-by-frame techniques in their animation? In a lecture and film screening, Bettina Munk presents the latest developments in animated film with roots in traditional animation forms. Artists: Blu, Aline Helmcke, Miodrag Manojlovic, Regina Pessoa, Marco Raparelli, Georges Schwizgebel and others

CHORAL PERFORMANCE and text-edition DRAWINGS OF AN EXHIBITION
Artists participating in the exhibition anonymously created a brief description of one of the works. Exact, associative, lyric, meandering, concise. A libretto was created from the results and will be presented as a CHORAL PERFORMANCE by SINGKOMPANIE MAYRÖCKER.
The text-edition DRAWINGS OF AN EXHIBITION is a collaboration by artists represented at ANONYME ZEICHNER 2018. Each has described a randomly selected piece from one artist represented in the exhibition. There were no requirements regarding choice of form or language, and all text has been printed in its original language. It is up to the users of the 390-page tear-off pad to assign the descriptions to the drawings shown in the exhibition, to fill the pages with their own drawings, or simply to enjoy the individual texts and their poetic quality - beyond the respective visual source.
390 pages, limited to 130 copies and numbered. 25€ special price in the gallery during the exhibition
until September 19 (afterwards: 35€, online)
